These are members of the Lamar high School football eleven, concluding the 1948 season yesterday.  They faced undefeated La Junta conference winner.  Their record is five victories and five setbacks and they finished in third place.

Coach John Allen, not pictured, has just resigned his position  as head mentor after leading the Savages for two seasons;  bringing a fat increase in victory column each year.
